GENERAL INFORMATION:
Our building was affected by the June Flood. We are
currently looking for space to hold gym classes, while plans are being accessed
on the building.
Gymnastic lessons since 1872, for ages 4 and up.
Classes include stretching, flexibility, apparatus workout, and strength
conditioning.
Classtimes are weekdays after 5:00. Call for further details.
Gymnastics competitions are with other Sokol Units.
Cedar Rapids is scheduled to host the 2009 Western District Competition and
Exhibition for ages 7 and up the last weekend in April.
HALL RENTAL: Not Available at this time
Our 1536 square foot clubroom with attached kitchen is a great
place for those small and personal gatherings whether it's a wedding reception,
family reunion, meeting or baby shower.

ACTIVITIES: Presently On Hold
Our sewing circle ladies are known for the wonderful job they do
quilting.
Our tumbling group "Czechmates" have performed throughout Linn County and for
personalities including Richard Gere.
Our pork suppers, which are well attended, are held semi-annually at our Sokol
Hall.
Most of our members are members of other Czech organizations in Cedar Rapids.
Making Kolache and dumplings bring out the Czech in everyone.
Our members included Marj Nejdl, who is nationally known for her folk art
designs that are featured on many items including eggs.
